The products you buy from Leico are manufactured at carefully selected factories in the East. We have been trading in the East for more than 20 years, which today gives us the advantage of dealing with very well-established factories, all of which have passed Leico’s code of conduct.
We place great emphasis on the environment, working conditions and quality, which our products also reflect. All of Leico’s products have been tested according to the applying safety requirements for Denmark and Europe. They are CE approved and EN71 tested.
CE MARKING
All toys sold and distributed in Denmark must be CE approved and CE marked. This is a requirement adopted by the EU and the CE mark symbolizes the trade agreement between the authorities and the business community.
With the CE mark, the manufacturer guarantees that the product is manufactured in accordance with common European requirements for safety, health and the environment.
CE stands for Conformité Européenne (European uniformity).
EN71
An EN71 test consists of the following 3 parts:
EN71-1: The mechanical and physical properties
EN71-2: Flammability
EN71-3: Specification of product content
In other words, it is in this test that you make sure that the eyes, ears and nose are firmly fixed and that the sewing is approved.
Furthermore, it is ensured that the product does not catch fire within a given period of time.
Furthermore, you can be sure that there are no toxic substances in the products and that the teddies can be machine washed. LEICO has a good and close cooperation with Eurofins, which means that we are always up to date on new security measures.
